Inspiration: Filling a Wall with Artwork

053008wall1.jpgGot a blank wall and not sure what to do with it? While perusing the Better Homes and Gardens website, we came across this link called "15 Blank Wall Solutions." Two of their suggestions really caught our eye. Both involved using art, but not just one piece or a few clustered together. Rather, packing the entire wall with artwork...

We loved the first "Pack it in" example they showed. They used a common theme in each piece that really pulls it all together.

Another example was to "Go Big." They placed uniform larger scale pieces flush together that make a dramatic statement. Again, this solution works well in the space because of the similar tones in the artwork and matching frames. Check out their other wall solutions at the BHG website. Have any of you done any of these solutions at home?

Where are those cool chairs from in the first photo?

On a side note, that BHG site is the worst site in the world to navigate through. Every other screen is an annoying pop up begging you to subscribe (fat freakin' chance) and sometimes impossible to get out of without clicking backwards. wtf.

Don't know about where the chairs came from but I like how they choose mustard yellow, pink and eitehr moss green or gray, I can't tell but I'm willing to bet they were ordered new, probably from Modernica or some such and are reproductions of the classic Eames plastic shell chair.

Thanks CiddyGuy. Where on the internet should I look? Do you think they are expensive? And I couldn't agree more with Tequila Red about the BHG site. It is the WORST. I hate those annoying pop-ups and the way the sections are listed. It needs an overhaul big time.

Love the look of the second set of pictures. Can imagine it with thin black frames, white mats, and B&W or sepia-toned pics.
