apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

We really like the artwork at Gallery Saint Germain. Often dark, moody, abstracted landscapes and grand-scale glossy images line the gallery walls. We were in for a surprise (and a treat) when we walked by and saw these hysterical dog portraits by photographer Frank Bruynbroek.

We were struck by how joyous these images are and how easily they brought a smile to our somewhat sullen puss. Unlike a Wegman photo where dogs are manipulated into looking like humans, it's these dogs’ direct stare into camera that allow their personification to exist in the most delightful way.

Proceeds from the sale of a calendar are donated to animal protection agencies.
