Influenced by Alphonse Mucha and Gustav Klimt, Silver Lake resident Kawasaki paintings somehow float into the delicate realm between dangerous sensuality and innocent youth. Nabokov would have loved her.
Kawasaki is currently headlining an amazing lineup of 115 young artists labeled as part of "The Movement" at Thinkspace gallery in Silver Lake. Catch Audrey's mesmerizing installation "The Karakuri Sisters" this coming weekend, from the 15th-17th, during special ART CRAWL hours: Friday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday -Noon to 6:00pm.

ohmigod! i am totally in LOVE with this work!!!!
Wow - these are beautiful, especially the first one!
i first saw her at her "i_seldom_do" livejournal a year or so ago, i love her artwork. i love the woodgrain showing through her paintings, i love her color palette, i love her style in general. she is very talented.
I'm completely in love with her work. I wish she had more prints and paintings availble to buy...She is so talented and really inspiring. Too bad I'm all the way in NY.. I would love to go to the opening.
I remember seeing her in group shows a long while back selling her paintings for around $200-300, what a fool I was to think "ah, I can always catch her around again".
I love your work, with all the faces of pretty faces.
would you consider useing my face for one of your
paintings ? it would be an honor. There is a photo of my face ,on www.my space.com(jennaLuvs Pink@comcast.Net).
