The Gallery: Vladimir Sierra

We met LA based artist, and thinkforward.org founder Vladimir Sierra at CaBoom. Vladimir makes “ukiyotile” art, which is a term coined by Vladimir to describe the process of arranging varying-sized tiles or “brushstrokes” together to form a picture much like a mosaic. The images are fun to look at (think: Seurat, or Chuck Close).

We like the more abstracted “psychedelic” images, but the more literal ones, like this ship, seemed best for a kid’s room.

Thinkforward.org can work with you to create your own unique ukitotile artwork, or you can purchase a piece already designed by Mr. Sierra.
