We envy those who are able to live simple, streamlined lives. You know, the ones who only have just what they need and never suffer from clutter issues. We found one such lucky dweller and his dog Rufus in an awesome Austin location that is both secluded and in the middle of it all...

This house happens to be located in a very central spot in the popular Bouldin Creek neighborhood. You'd never know that by the approach you must take to find it, though! Located at the end of a dead end street, you actually have to park your car, go around the "Dead End" sign and then turn onto a wooded path. It's not until you clear a few trees that you first catch a glimpse of this red home on stilts.
There's no fancy decor to speak of, rather, the central focus of this house becomes the gorgeous tree views that are seen from the generous, yet traditional, windows surrounding the rooms. The pale green walls and the white furnishings really lend to a calming feel to the space. It's like living in a personal treehouse.
Resident Steve loves the location, saying he is both very close to all the Austin amenities, but can easily pass a weekend alone in his simple abode without seeing a soul for days. A home like this is the perfect spot for relaxation and concentration. And Rufus seems to really enjoy the seclusion (okay, the woods) a lot too.
Tell us if you have any spots in your home that you have tried to simplify in order to relax or concentrate, and what you did to do so. If you have any really great views from your window, tell us about how they inspire you!
What I wouldn't give for something just like this.

I'd love to see some bigger versions of some of these photos, but I don't see a link to a gallery or another site.
