011409kimber-02.jpg Featuring gorgeous interiors and exteriors, the atmosphere of Kimber Modern is both relaxing and invigorating. Recently opened and located in the hip SoCo district, the rooms sport sparse and modern furnishings with tons of technology, like keyless entry and wireless throughout. Though the design is minimal, Kimber Modern's interiors feature plenty of great details.

011409kimber-03.jpg Common areas also feature great design and warm atmospheres and encourage mingling with other guests. The courtyard has a big Texas oak for shade and interest. Kimber Modern's guest rooms certainly show that sparse furnishings and minimal, modern design can really make for a warm and inviting bedroom!

I love the design, and also the architecture. I really like the courtyard area. Although I hope those drapes are effective, because there could be some privacy issues. Definitely something to remember if I get the chance to visit some friends of mine in Austin!

Although at the moment I do not practice what I preach, but I love the the idea of being a minimalist and being in sparsely decorated surrounding. These rooms are clean and inviting. The courtyard is beautiful, especially loving the deck surrounding the Texas Oak Tree. The tree gives the modern lines of the architecture a very organic feel. I like the idea of a common meeting ground. As I have learned living in LA, if you give people common ground they will interact and there are a lot of great people out there to meet.

For a slick modern space, I like it - Like T.Meyer says, I's probably due to the tree outside those grand glass walls...

I bet 99% of the guests find this a sort of "palette" (vs. palate) cleanse from their own residences. Calming. This is a great inspiration for "do this at home." Love the grey quilted bench fabric. The common space outside is lovely.
