Inspiration: Share Your Favorite Etsy Finds!
Austin

120108etsy-02.jpg With the holidays fast approaching, there are probably two things weighing the most heavily on your mind. One: how you’re going to get your home ready for holiday guests, and two: what kind of gifts you're going to get all the people on your list. While certainly no new concept, we thought we’d do a quick round up of various Etsy ideas we’ve shared over the years and also get readers to weigh in on their favorite finds!

120108etsy-01.jpg In case there's a chance you haven't heard of it yet, Etsy is the online marketplace for all things handmade. There, you can connect with sellers across the world who are peddling their gorgeous wares. You can find the perfect items for a party, lovely natural-inspired gifts for friends, gorgeous international gifts, affordable gifts under $20 and even great vintage finds.

We want to know who your favorite Etsy sellers are. Who will you be buying handmade gifts from to give to friends and family? What Etsy stores will you be frequenting for those last minute touches to your home? Share your favorite Etsy finds over the years to give other AT readers some great gift and home inspiration!

AntheaArt is one of my favorites. Her handcrafted items are whimsical and heirloom quality delights. She's even crafted a set of dolls of the next First Family that are simply adorable.

I love Diana Sudyka and I have several of her silkscreened prints (they always looks way better in person).

If you're going to be in Chicago this weekend I recommend checking out Renegade Craft Fair. They're having a holiday sale which I recommend, I usually find some handmade goodies for friends and it really helps to see everything in person.

The shop is a secret treasure, although maybe I just let the cat out of the bag.
You can furnish an entire mid century LIFE here.
furnishings, fabric and even clothes.

I love this pillow that I bought from ModernRadar. It has a neutral palette, so it matches with everything, but it's still bold, graphic, and interesting.

It looks like she's no longer selling it, but I also love this framed embroidered art featuring a Saarinen chair that I got from NQuinn. The anchor tag isn't working for some reason, so here's the link: http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=8950631

Lots of hand-crafted Cincinnati pride there, but I also really love the vintage typography-inspired screenprints, which can resonate with anyone who wants to live with an uplifting message!

I love Rob and Lean's store... they helped me customize a wood inlaid titanium band for my husband (his wedding band). Their products rock and they were easy to work with.

I love the paintings by LNZart for a kids room. Although I am not sure what happened (maybe she sold out?), she used to have a lot more posted on her site. It looks like she only has two paintings right now.

As a new Etsy seller myself, I have to give a shout-out to my own shop, flasket, featuring vintage and reclaimed jewelry pieces based on themes. This month: Harry Houdini and the principles of mathematics inform my work.

My faves, hands down:

t8designs: Gorgeous jewelry assemblages.

Roses Are Red: Candy-colored vintage plastic baubles for necks, ears, hair, hands -- you name it.

Save Our Home: Purses, clutches, totes, all in awesome colors.

Deadworry: Both cute and creepy screenprints on tees, totes, and underthings.

CraftPudding: Hand-carved rubber stamps that are out-of-this-world cute, from Matryoshka dolls to Airstream trailers.
