Formerly an under-the-radar salvage business selling beautiful, one-of-a-kind vintage doors, lumber, windows and architectural details, in 2006 owner Brad Kittel decided to go beyond just helping people beautify their homes by creating homes for sale! And, realizing that ever-so-popular saying about things in Texas being bigger wasn't necessarily true, the homes he builds aren't only unique because they're made up mostly of salvaged vintage material, but also because they're so small and movable. Tiny homes are certainly nothing new; in fact today's architects have been creating tiny, efficient and impressive modern homes for a while now. What makes these homes by Kittel even more special, are the efforts he puts into recreating historical period styles, like Queen Anne Victorian or Dutch Colonial. Customers can buy these homes to add on to later, or embrace the concept and attempt to live in the tiny 10 by 16 feet and 10 by 17 feet homes.
