Reading the post on decorative window bars that another Apartment Therapy writer found earlier this week made us remember coming across this wonderful Austin example. Located on a home on the East Side, these creative and funky window bars (and front gate) are a creation of the local design duo known as Fisterra Studio. Famous for their interesting uses of forged steel, concrete, paint and paper, Fisterra Studio designers Todd Campbell and Jennifer Chenoweth have a unique and eclectic portfolio of furniture, paintings, sculpture and both residential and commercial details. You can learn more about Fisterra Studio on their website.
How cute are those!

Nice. Almost makes me wish I lived in a neighborhood where I needed those.

Those are adorable, but I think that bars on windows have to have an emergency release in case of fire. I hate the ugly bars on my apartment windows, and these are much prettier, but I'd be worried about not being able to get out in an emergency.
