082508elesgo-03.jpg Elesgo wood laminate flooring is an environmentally and ecologically friendly flooring manufacturered in Germany and made using only the limbs and branches of FSC certified forests. Acrylic resin based, it boasts an impressive formaldehyde and solvent-free formula. Intended for residential and commericial use, Elesgo flooring comes in three different looks: super matte, super gloss and country line. A free-floating click flooring system (meaning no glues or nails) that can be installed easily and even be reused!

082508elesgo-04.jpg The makers claim their flooring is easy to maintain and clean, resistant to scratches, stains, wear, cigarette burns, permanent markers, high heels dents, sunlight/UV not to mention antistatic, hygienic and pet friendly. And to top it off, they say the super gloss version never needs to be polished. Too good to be true? You'll have to judge for yourself. Visit their website at elesgo.com.

Austin residents looking to judge this flooring for themselves are in luck: local store IF+D in the Second Street District in downtown Austin carries Elesgo and can answer all of your questions.

Anybody know if use of this flooring in a commercial setting can help achieve any LEED credits as defined by the USGBC?

Hey, AP, do you or could you remove the spamming comments from the boards (like the one above)? It's a really lame form of cyber mooching and I hate seeing these on the posts.
