Look: Kasey McCarty Interior Design
Austin

033009kasey-01.jpg We often get emails from homeowners looking to add a little "Austin-style" into their spaces. The best advice we can give (besides always reading our Austin AT posts) is to check out the work being done by some of our local designers, who are continuously setting the standard of Austin design. You won't find many who are as highly recommended as local designer Kasey McCarty...

033009kasey-02.jpg Not only highly recommended by her clients, McCarty is often cited by her fellow design professionals as an inspiring and talented designer here in Austin. Having gained tremendous experience working at larger architecture firms for years, McCarty now collaborates often with local architect Michael Hsu as well as tackles a number of projects herself. From modern lofts to more traditional homes and plenty of influential commercial spaces, McCarty's work is sophisticated yet keeps with the casual lifestyle of Austin. Now moved into a new office located off of South Congress, Austin can only expect to keep seeing great design work from Kasey McCarty. Though her updated website is still in progress, you can gain inspiration from her online portfolio and learn more about her interesting background through her bio.

What do you think about Kasey McCarty's work? Who's an Austin designer or architect that you think really embodies the "Austin style"? Let us know!

What exactly makes something "Austin-style"? I'm not seeing anything particularly distinct about these spaces.

She might be on to something. I'm a designer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I could start promoting "Milwaukee Style" or "The Midwest Look"...
