091508mercury-01.jpg With an aesthetic that runs from pure classic to modern contemporary, there's one thing that Mercury always delivers on: an amazing showroom. Frequently updated and gorgeously detailed vignettes that give inspiration to any style home greet visitors to Mercury. Every corner and every view looks like a professionally styled photograph out of a top design magazine. Our favorite part: the ever-changing themed nooks that pair eye-catching wall treatments with the hottest trends in home design.

091508mercury-02.jpg The owners of Mercury have scoured the world to bring back accessories that show a little history and vintage furniture that they revamp in the most beautiful of ways. You can find great gifts for friends (or yourself!) and even great art books. Colorful fabrics adorn furniture pieces with gorgeous lines and unique accessories add excitement to every tabletop.

091508mercury-04.jpg Prices range from reasonably low to only-in-your-dreams high, but there's definitely something for everyone's budget. Everything in this store looks like a million bucks, too. Their knowledgeable staff is always there to help you find that perfect present or help you discover your own design style, piece by piece.

I'm a little surprised how much I like the combination of patterns and textures in the first photo. I wouldn't mind sitting there reading a book.

I love this store so much and just wish that some of the prices weren't so high and that I could find parking that isn't under city hall anytime I want to stop by Mercury or pick up a gelato at Paciugo.

I shopped her once on a visit to Austin from Chicago. The owner is also charming. It's really one of my favorite shops ever.
