Australian Home Beautiful - Product of the Year 2009

101509reece01.jpgLast years Australian Home Beautiful Product of the Year was Ikea's Ange Chair. This year we were excited to see a locally designed and made product take out first place, The Halo shower head. Despite the big hole in the center, the well placed nozzles ensure full water coverage with about half the water usage. Find out more below the jump...

Designed by Duncan Ward, the Halo shower head won the Reece Bathroom Innovation Award of 2005. Since then it has been commercially produced by Reece, the first winner of the Bathroom Innovations Awards to be produced in this scale. The Halo shower head is one of the most water efficient shower heads available in Australia using only 7.5 liters per minute. However it still has amazing pressure and coverage thanks it it's unusual shape and the arrangement of nozzles. We think the shower head is win-win with it's water saving properties and is unique but attractive design. Prices start from $438, a price we feel is reasonable for a locally designed, made and produces product. More info on the Halo shower head is available here and you can view the other winners in Australian Home Beautiful products of the year here.

We consider the cascade cognition is win-win with it's liquid protection properties and is unequaled but personable ornament. Prices act from $438, a toll we comprehend is commonsensical for a locally premeditated,
