Converted Factory: Artist in Residence
Australia

Here's an amazing mini-house tour from one of our promising new Australian bloggers who we're trying out. Tell us what you think...

Half artist’s studio, half eclectic/bohemian living space, this converted warehouse is a great example of a highly personal approach to interior design. There is so much going on in terms of texture – books, collections, art objects, surface finishes, found furniture – but rather than overwhelming, it feels cosy and invites exploration...

The nicest thing about this home is that it really gives you a sense of who the owners are. When popular styles are referenced to extreme, interiors begin to lose the best part of what makes your home yours - the personal touches that tell visitors a story.

Eggshell blue and honey wood tones create a calm, warm feel that make the large open space feel cosy. Now if only we could have the exposed beams, textured walls and ceiling height to die for - and throw in artistic friends who donate work to create an enviably eclectic art collection.

Wow ,thats beautiful!
I love the rustic quality.
The kitchen is wonderful and so is the cluster in the center of the room with the bed and shelves.

Awseome. This takes me back to the days of Heartbreak High, when all I ever wanted was to grow up and be able to live in a warehouse with Drazic and the other cool kids on the show.

The kitchen reminds me of Harry Potter's friend's kitchen. Ron Weasley.

Simple, well written, and I agree with J.L., the photos do give a great sense of an amazing space, especially that kitchen.

Great photos Emilie, spaces like these keep me hooked on Aussie shelter mags and blogs, keep'm coming!

Thanks Emiie!!!!!! This space is absolutely awesome!!!!
Definetly fits my idea of the dream home, especially the kitchen. Where do I find a vintage stove like that one?
I love the industrial feel and the multitude of art work.
More please!
