072108designmadetrade01.jpgWe recently visited Design:Made:Trade, a design fair running as part of the Victorian State of Design Festival 2008. Unfortunately the fair was not so camera-friendly, however we managed to accumulate an impressive business card collection from the many inspiring product designers on show. If you’re in the area, check it out. See below for some highlights...

Designed by Anthony Dann, the folded cardboard chair contains 70% recycled pulp, requires no allen key and lasts 1 – 2 years, able to hold up to 150kg. It’s unique design stood out and combined with the possibility to custom print, we thought this was a pretty neat product.

Tait’s Garden Wall unit can be used on it’s own or stacked to create a screen or divider. Perfect for balconies or gardens of small proportion.

Wallpaper, fabrics, cushions and printed artwork – Publisher Textiles produce some truly gorgeous patterns all hand printed in their Sydney factory using their own colour mixes.

The Bowlboard is one of those great combinations of form and function. The inlaid bowls are flush with the mould-resistant bamboo board – the perfect cooks companion.

I just lurve the Bowlboard, what a good solution and uses sustainable bamboo as well. Wish I could have seen the rest of the show.
