We blogged earlier about our largish appetite for magazines, so it should be no surprise we quickly found Habitus, a new entry to the Aussie design magazine scene. The clean layout by Wishart Design caught our eye during a recent prowl through Borders. On inspection the launch issue has lots of nice images of homes, more from an architectural view than intimate in your space style, and lengthy articles. Their aim is to showcase a mix of design influences across Australia and South East Asia.

The publisher’s website says it provides ‘ideas for houses, interiors and landscapes, for anyone who craves inspiration for a quality way of life.’ Sounds good. We like the focus on Australia and Asia as a region, and it will be interesting to see what design styles and ideas collectively emerge from our part of the world. We didn’t buy a copy straight away, it was bit heavy for the walk home, but will probably do so after a second inspection.
