With summer just around the corner, we’ve started thinking about how to ‘lighten’ the mood of our home. We’re drawn to the breezy feeling of nautical and beach inspired additions. Incorporating ‘found’ things from nature into your display collections is a free and easy way to add a personal, summery touch.

This beach house belongs to Brisbane interior designer Anna Spiro. We like her casual approach, like the stack of sun hats. The simple flower arrangements make us think of Saturday morning breakfast in bed - check out the pink bottle brush. The flowers and shells also work as collections because they’re contrasted with little touches of luxe, like candles and ceramics.

Shed your hemispherical biases!
Very cute and great colors. I like the shadow box. I gave mine to my husband for his military miniatures, and bought another at a thrift store for his space souvenirs (which are both out of my way in his den, btw!) I may have to start looking for a new one for me.
