Keeping many of the original details of the home was his mothers request- vitrified floor tiles, murano glass chandeliers and baroque inspired Italian furniture all stayed. Into that Greg and his parents added contemporary rugs, reproduction mid-century furniture and a new kitchen complete with huge granite benchtops and splash back. What we like about this home is that it’s clearly still the home of a couple who had great taste in the 1970’s, it now just has some more modern fixtures and a fresher feel to it. We’re excited about Greg Natale’s next family project– a 16 person crypt for their family plot using black and pink marble! More info on Greg Natale can be found at his website.

Am I the only one who finds this doesn't work that good?

I am terribly eclectic. I don't care much for design rules. I enjoy unexpected combinations in cooking - but please don't throw every spice into the pot, just because you have it on your spice rack.

I have to agree with Nani. There are too many divergent things going on that don't really gel.

I love the idea of mixing eras, but the introduction of new into old seems awkward and obvious here. Feels like two conversations trying to avoid each other.
