Inspiration: Renovated Mattress Factory
Melbourne

051909lyn01.jpgLyn Gardener is best known for her Albert Park store, Empire Vintage. Lyn had her heart set on the run down mattress factory nearby and after waiting 3 years for it to come onto the market, Lyn renovated it into a delightful home - we're not sure that anyone has previously coined the phrase "dramatic restraint" but if not, Lyn Gardener owns it for her white on white approach to decorating…

051909lyn04.jpgKeeping as many of the original features as possible, Lyn has filled her home with mostly second-hand goods that she has come across while sourcing stock for Empire Vintage. What we love about Lyn's home is that all the details are unique and she only has what she truly loves. Amazingly, Lyn has also converted the old leather factory next door and a miner’s cottage in Daylesford, The White House. For more info on Empire Vintage visit Lyn's website here.

What a beautiful place! I'm utterly enchanted with the clawfoot tub in the center of the room there! It seems so relaxing.

Wow. I wish I had that kind of restraint. Her home is too lovely for words.

She really likes chandeliers.
I am confused by the tub...
but I like the place.

I really like her style. Just a tad of chic Country English with some French styling in the mix.

Apparently this a rental like her other places. Daylesford area is suppose to be a fun area to visit lots of unique stylish stops, good cafes and galleries also considered a spa town because of the natural mineral springs in the area. Sign me up now....

LOVE this space. I am envious of her restraint! I am going to declutter right now!! And I have been contemplating getting away from my all white scheme, but if it could look this good .....

Although usually I hate white spaces, this one is GREAT! I think because it's not actually white, but cream and brown and pales.
