Saturday In Design was held over the weekend in Sydney. We weren't fortunate to go but if we were, we would have sought out the Living Edge Chandon Miniature Chair Competition. With the corks, foil and cages of 2 Chandon bottles the challenge was to create a miniature chair with the best entry winning an Eames Recliner. See the winner below the jump…
Living Edge Chandon Miniature Chair Competition Results
Sydney
The winner was John Voss of Rice Daubeney with his chair pictured above. Second prize went to Edward Wong of Idiom Design [below left] and 3 prize was awarded to Jo Turner [below right]. i love this! when i was a bartender, i made a "bistro set" out of 3 pommery cages, it sits atop my tv at home now. i had no idea there was a contest for this. i thought it was just something bartenders did out of boredom.
