Look: ‘Drift Wood’ Vases
Melbourne

Following on from some recent indoor plant life posts here & here, we found these enchanting vases from Sydney homewares company, ‘Have you met Miss Jones’. They immediately made us feel all whimsical with their enchanted forest vibe. We love the sculptural forms and think they look great on their own. Instead of flowers, you could pop a seagull feather in one for a nautical feel. More on Miss Jones bone china objects below.

‘Have you met Miss Jones’ was started by Jennifer Jones in 2006. Her parents run the production side of things from their home in the Philippines, producing a range of vases and objects out of bone china - along with the nature inspired pieces are bone china paper bag shaped vases. The other nice thing is that their products are reasonably priced, the drift wood collection starts at AU$16 for a small candle holder. Prices from above: Driftwood Large Vase AU$94, Driftwood Lying Vase AU$55. Prices below left to right: Driftwood Candle Holder – Small AU$16, Log Vase with Mushrooms – Large AU$140, Leaf Vase AU$65, Leaf Platter AU$80.050209-MissJonesVases-02.jpg

I'm in love with an inanimate object...well, several, really.

Roost makes similar items that are cheaper, but these are nice (if not a bit knock-off-ish).

I just got a vase similar to the top right one, although not as detailed, for $3 on clearance at Home Depot! I'd prefer the originals here, but the one I got will still be great with a branch of cherry blossoms or a cluster of spring flowers...
