Look: Fun Mirrors
Melbourne

Kids get all the fun stuff. We want to see funny adult versions of these playful mirrors by Melbourne company Lightly. Perhaps in classic ‘trying on clothes’ poses - that would make getting dressed up even more fun.

Lightly also make this more grown up doily shaped mirror. The kids shaped mirrors are made from mirrored acrylic and can be applied to most wall surfaces. We’re not sure if mirrored acrylic is easy to come by, but if it is, there’s a DIY idea in there somewhere.

The silhouette of the little girl with bulging diaper and heels is creepy.

This is creep city. Like those little stuffed children dolls that some people have in the homes facing the wall as if they are playing hide and seek.

I don't think they're creepy at all, they are very sweet.

Stuffed children facing the corner TCMB? Is this a common thing? I've never heard of it. Yikes!

i agree that they're pretty creepy out of the context of a child's room or playroom. if i walked in to the place of any adult who has no children/grandchildren/frequently visiting nieces or nephews/etc i would be sufficiently sketched out.

TCMB- those dolls are so creepy. my grandmother has one at her condo in florida... they're called Time Out Dolls... they in the corner because they being punished, not playing a game... which just exponentially multiplies the creep-factor.

Ahhhh! So creepy, I didn't know they were being punished. Why would you punish your stuffed doll child!

This reminds me of Leah Singer's silhouettes:

As far as I know, she has no plans to market them, but they do look cool.

I've never seen the Time Out Dolls, but they sound horrible.

Time Out Dolls? Yikes. Can't they just procure a bunch of cats like normal lonely older ladies?

Ha! I heard a hilarious story about one of those time out dolls. A little girl was visiting her grandma's house and was so enchanted with the time-out doll in the corner. She thought it was a real kid. The girl pulled the doll away from the wall and then FREAKED out because the doll had no face.
