When turned off the lights hang separately side by side, they then turn on simultaneously when pushed together via magnetic attraction. Currently in prototype mode, the Kissing Pendants recently won the Australian Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award for Sydney designer Trent Jansen. There’s an interesting interview with the up-and-coming designer here.

this is very cool, but as a young gal with a pacemaker, i try to avoid as many magnets in my home as possible.
though this would be right up my alley :(
