We really like the asymmetry of these book shelves by Melbourne based furniture maker/designer Mark Tuckey. Made from recycled packing crate wood, the different shaped boxes create a frame-like effect perfect for storing thoughtfully edited collections of books or objects.
The idea of re-using packing crates or other wooden box structures may also inspire the DIY furniture buff to try creating something similar. Check out the other beautiful furniture created by Mark Tuckey here. They specialise in mixing new and recycled timber in their on site workshop where they make and sell everything from chairs, tables, cabinets, and beds to outdoor furniture.
Where can one buy packing crates for a DIY?
