Miniature Living Spaces
Melbourne

091008-DollHouseRooms-01.jpgWho would have though you could find design inspiration in a doll’s house? With floors measured in centimetres not meters, these must be among the smallest living spaces featured on AT. Simply put, these are the coolest doll’s houses we’ve ever seen. They were created by Anna-Maria Sviatko over the last five years mostly from Ebay finds, and form a collection of fourteen doll’s houses currently on display at their website, on until 26 January 2009. More images below.

We’re guessing a few AT readers were into their doll’s houses at a young age, perhaps practising for later. Ours was a chunky wooden furniture affair with biro decorations drawn on –a style we fortunately grew out of.

Check out her blog and Flickr page for more amazing pictures.

It's the Lundby miniature rooms. Right next door to the Thorn(e?) Rooms at the AI!

I always wanted a Lundby house but only got the two roomed version as a kid.

Thanks for the great write up (and very flattering comments!)

As for what my life-sized house looks like, wonder no more: Canberra's Got Style featured my house back in April as part of their "Behind the curtains" series:
