Powder Coated Powder Room
Australia

071508volataps01.jpgA bathroom renovation is the next thing on our to-do list. Ditching the 80’s floral tiles, the dull lino and chipped bath. When I saw these taps by Vola at De De Ce my original ideas went out the window and all I wanted to do was decorate the bathroom around the above Apple Green tap. The powder coated mixer taps come in Mocha, Burgundy, Pink, Bright Blue, Apple Green, Black, Bright Red, Orange, Light Blue, Grey, White and Yellow...all shown under the jump.

Nice post and I'm glad to see Australia represent and all, but I am going to be seriously annoyed by seeing cool products that I cannot buy in the USA....

These are undeniably cool, but I look at them and expect them to dispense ketchup and mustard! I would be seriously disoriented.

It is so funny you have these here. I was just looking to see if you could get actual sinks in different colors. That I can find... you cannot.

Yes, Arne Jacobsen designed faucets for Vola in 1961, and most of their more recent designs are variations on the same themes and design cues that he established. In this case, the colors are new, of course.

Vola is sold in North American under the Kroin name. I fell in love with the design, purchased several faucets for bathroom and kitchen renovations, but be warned. They are starting to drip after 8 years and instead of replacing a $2 washer, I need to hire a plumber to install the $250 cartridge in each of them. Sheesh, had I known it would be over $1000 to service them I may have chosen some other brand.
