This year when people signed up to do the Cure the overwhelming response was that they wanted a way to save money and a way to stay connected. Well here's our chance! We've planned a community swap for Saturday November 22, so this is your last weekend to put stuff in your outboxes. And if you haven't been following the Cure but you've been cleaning out closets, purging cupboards, or just making space to have people over, come join us for our first ever Swap! We'll be there with the contents of our outbox plus some succulent cuttings! And the kicker is that we're meeting at one of our favorite places:
AT Event: Le Swap
8 Days and Counting!
Le Swap:
A chance to swap ideas, swap things and swap plants. Bring what's in your outbox or what you've planned to donate and come meet up with one another (and us!) for a great Saturday morning before the holidays kick off.
Why: Because one man's trash is another man's treasure
Where: Surfas in Culver City (one of the most amazing chef supply stores in LA, plus they have a great cafe!)
When: Saturday November 22nd 10am-Noon.
See what people are planning to bring over on the Flickr Pool. And if Thanksgiving and the holidays aren't motivation enough to purge unnecessary belongings, then know that if you show up, you get a special surprise!

Hi Everyone,
You don't literally have to swap one item for another (unless you want to). The idea is for everyone to bring what they no longer need or use and it's all up for grabs. You can swap it, you can give it away, you can donate it.
It's based on clothing swaps that I've been to. Everyone brings clothes that no longer fit, etc and then everyone just goes through them and takes what they'll use. It's a great alternative to just donating stuff since it means that within our community we're reusing things.
