This weekend, since we're expecting rainy weather and record traffic snarls (there are a bunch of scheduled events, especially downtown, so, if you can, stay away from the 10/110 freeway interchange), might be the perfect weekend to start thumbing through the book, Apartment Therapy: The 8 Step Home Cure. Spend some time looking around your apartment. Pretend you're seeing it for the first time. Sit on your furniture, check out your closets, make a meal in your kitchen. What's working for you? What do you hate? What do you love? Take some pictures and upload them to our Flickr pool or tag them with "ATLAFallCure08" and we'll find them. Remember, the Cure's less about buying stuff and more about cleaning out, moving stuff around, decluttering and making your apartment work for you. If you're frustrated by your apartment, take the Cure! We promise, it'll help. (Check my before and after!)

I'm in. I moved into my new place 6 weeks ago, got 3/4ths of the way unpacked and promptly begun ignoring all the corners where stuff remains stashed and still in boxes...

lol. that is EXACTLY. where I am at the moment. Moved in about 6 weeks ago, realized I have no bookshelves so I have 6 boxes of stuff still sitting in my living room being used as a coffee table and desk.

I already started. It's just the living room, but it makes me feel so damn happy every time I walk in there. I'm hoping to do the rest of the house during the 8 week cure. http://geekdetails.wordpress.com/2008/10/01/photos-of-the-house-part-1/

weeeeee! I'm so excited! I just moved too, but only 2 weeks ago, I'm mostly unpacked and hopefully the cure will get me COMPLETELY unpacked and uncluttered.
My main problem is that I have all this stuff and no where to put it, but it's all necessary stuff... like, ya know, a bed. :)

I so need this. I move in last fall, already got rid of a ton of stuff over the last year (from the old, bigger, place) but need to do a once over right now. I need to clean sweep the drawers, closets, bookshelves. I already did my underwear drawer, that was a great (yet small) start.

I started a "whole house" cure last fall. I'm a bit of a neat freak, so clutter wasn't my biggest issue -- it's the overly loud and unsophisticated decor. I'm finishing up my bedroom and living room this time around. I hope that the '08 Fall Cure will help me get my living spaces to the finish line! (I'm saving the laundry room for the '09 Spring Cure)
