SpecktoneRetro Tabletop Stereo speaker system

specktone.jpgThe SpecktoneRetro Tabletop Stereo speaker system for the iPod is absolutely the bee’s knees.

This handsome devil is compatible with a variety of iPod models (Video, 4G, mini, and nano), comes in three varieties of high-gloss lacquered finish wood cabinets, and is appropriately powered by 28 watts of analog circuitry “for rich, deep tone.” Perfect for those dance parties with Betty, Veronica, and Jughead, dontcha think? ($149.95).

Sweet. Nice to finally one of these docking speaker systems that look like some futuristic kidrobot toy (not that there's anything wrong with that). I just prefer the old school look of this one.

I'd actually love to see it in white.

Patrick: Lucky for you, it does come in white (and black) also.

But how cool would it be if Kid Robot did make an ipod speaker system? Maybe shaped like a Dunny?

Wonder if it has a radio. My beef with the normal Nano speakers is that you cannot listen to NPR on them.

George: Okay, but only if it's shaped like the DJ QBert Dunny...

IPal's have radio...less design friendly (no handy place of the ipod)...but, I rather like mine...

Bright red should be a color option

I love it, absolutely the bees knees. I know Morrissey has an iPod, I can totally see him rockin' this in his crib over in Italy right now. Love it.

Jonathan, I assume you know this, but I'll say it at the risk of being obvious and slightly off topic. You can podcast most NPR shows via iTunes.
