Even though we shave in the tub, we don't need one of these ourselves. But a few friends have mentioned they were looking for a mirror for the shower that wouldn't steam over, and perusing online we came upon this ingenious shower accessory...

It's quite simple: the Showermirror has a receptacle which is filled with warm water from ontop, and a small emptying drain allows the water to slowly drip away. The water inside the mirror prevents condensation from occurring by keeping the temperature of the mirrored surface the same as the surrounding environment for about 10 minutes...enough time for a shave and a rinse for most fellas (and ladies who'd like to use this for leg shaving).

Wow! I was just thinking about how I wished I had a mirror in the shower for shaving this morning!
Cuanto?

It's a little unorthodox but, I have always splashed a handful of water on the mirror then taken a dab of shampoo and rubbed it all over. From there I just rise it again and woo-la fog free for about a week.

I used to do that too JamesM. I tried bar soap, shampoo, shaving cream, etc. Sometimes it worked, other times not. But what did happen was a gunked up mirror!

Bed Bath & Beyond has a number of these, although they don't go so far as the water receptacle part (just basic fog free mirrors, which work pretty well in my opinion -- for like $10). Is this version really practical? Are you meant to have a cup handy in the shower so you can fill the mirror with water?

I can't figure out how much it costs, but you can get this one (which works the same way) for about $20. I have it and I love it.
