Try Simple Decor For Your Bathroom

091108_bathroom01.jpgWe’ve written quite a bit about ways to keep your small space clutter-free and organized by using simple decor ideas. This works in every room - including the sometimes forgotten about design of a bathroom. This room can also be a place to highlight your personality and showcase objects and accessories you enjoy seeing everyday.

In this case, check out the bathroom from Kana and Sam's Less is More House Tour. It’s a pretty space that Kana and Sam have designed to feel comfortable by including personal accessories and design accents - much like decorating a living or family room. By storing their bathroom supplies in drawers and cabinets, they left room for a simple design layout. Plus the white tile really shines through to evoke a calm relaxed vibe.

the statue of Krishna should be taken out of the bathroom. it's an offense to put such a sacred item in the loo. i'm sure my comment here will attract snarky remarks - hope not - please respect my faith.

That doesn't look like simple decor to me - 4 tchotchkes, 1 Krishna statue, a candle, and a photograph! I don't have that many decorative items in my whole apartment.

I imagine the prankster Krishna would appreciate the irony. Especially the men in tutus. And that's not a snarky comment at all. :-)

I think decor in the bath is essential, but I think this bathroom is too cluttered. Love the art pieces, and think this particular collection would be better on a mantle or console or buffet. It seems though that maybe this bathroom is this person's special retreat -- like a spa.

"Less is more" didn't seem to apply to the bathroom. Love that photograph.

I really liked the under-counter storage in this house tour. The baskets and wood shelves look nice in both bathrooms. Serene.

if this were my bathroom, I would keep the men in tutus pic and the candle, ditch the rest and bring in a bowl or vase of fresh flowers. I like the tiled vanity though; very nice!

It looks great - but all those things looks very hard to constantly be cleaning.
