A Bedroom for the Weekend II

021508_bedroom.jpg

Last week we were feeling orange pops of color and fresh white sheets. This week we're all about calming blues and greens and bringing at least some of the outdoors in. All the details after the jump:

We liked the lightness of the green to help usher in spring (and for some reason with all this wind, it feels right), balanced with some turquoise to make sure the room wasn't too drab. The pendant light will hopefully throw fun dots of light all over the room to feel a little bit like being outside and an etsy print of the great outdoors seals the deal. A touch of bright white in the sideboard and a touch of the ocean in the rug. What do you think?

From upper left:

Walk in the Park Print by 12Fifteen on Etsy $18
Torsby Sideboard from Ikea $299
1970's Pendant Light from Galerie Sommerlath $950
Squares Rug from Jonathan Adler $600
Heather Levine Ceramics
Elementti Fabric by Marimekko $38/yard
Case Study Bed from Modernica $1095

Divine, as usual, though modern beds such as that one often bug me. They come off as spartan, rather than sensual, and storing things under them would ruin the clean lines, though you could store things in pretty boxes. I dunno, I guess I just prefer beds with bedskirts because bedskirts hide acres of crap :)

Laure, have you considered using a piece of clothing as inspiration for a room? It's a fun game.

Nice. And that Torsby is excellent. I scored it at the 'As Is' section at my local Ikea last week for $200.

But the bed is my favorite piece...
