Pottery Barn's Woodland Organic Duvet Cover

031908_pottery.jpgMaybe because it reminds us of Gregory's Modern Woodland Cabin idea or maybe just because we're enjoying the new energy and color that seems to be infusing parts Pottery Barn, but we really like this duvet set.

The Woodland Organic Duvet Cover has just enough pop to be really fun, but has a small enough pattern that it doesn't go straight over the top. What do you think? Would you use this, or would it be for kids only?

I like the pattern but the matching duvet and shams is just too much! perhaps as an accent?

Wow, I really, really like this! If I needed a duvet, I'd definitely consider this, because my bedroom has quiet colors, and this could add a nice pop. I think the scale is perfect for this busy, colorful pattern. It's organic and only $99, but also only 200-thread count, though.

That's very pretty. I would use it for our bed, but probably not the shams and the duvet together.

I agree that with the shams it's too busy. I think it would look better with solid colour sheets instead of stark white.
It's pretty. Very spring timey!

I agree - Mix the set up with a solid color. Otherwise its too much!

Definitely wouldn't use this all at once. I think the pattern's a bit overwhelming for a duvet, but I want those shams!

I'd probably use a solid color for the pillows, but I love the pattern and colors. It incorporates all the colors in my condo now. ALL the colors in my condo. Wow.

I kind of love it! but I agree it's a bit too overwhelming.

I'd get just the duvet and use different shams.

it looks like too much in this photo, but if you paired the set with Anthropologie's white Chinoiserie bed and photographed it a bit further away in an all-white room....it'd be beautiful.

nice pick, Laure!

I checked it out again and, although it's mentioned in the product description, I somehow missed this part until now -- "Hidden within the branches, leaves and flowers of our vintage design are one-word color names for careful observers." You can see the words in the More Images detail photo. It's a really subtle detail, but I think it may put this over the top for me. It's just another layer of content embedded in an already busy pattern. Did anyone else catch that?
