There are optional headboard extenders and nightstands to complete the look. We also like that there is a storage shelf on the side too. We've seen similar style beds go for several thousand dollars, but this one from EQ3 starts at only $999. Does anyone have this bed?
EQ3 has a showroom locally in Burbank, and other locations here.
I like it!! Classy, and functional.

Its nice but I found it too large in size for condos that are 600sq ft and under. I prefer the series of storage beds from a company called Mobital.

I second mscot. The day I visited, veneer was chipping off many pieces in the showroom.

I would not buy anything substantial from EQ3. We bought our sofa there 2 years ago since we love modern style but didn't have the obscene amount of money modern furnishings was asking at the time. We didn't want to do IKEA and EQ3 in Burbank seemed like a refreshing alternative. We splurged and bought a highest quality leather sofa they had. We were happy with our purchase until 6 mos. ago when the seat cushions started sagging. Sagging so badly that we could feel the metal framework and now we cannot even sit on the sofa for a long amount of time because our backs start to hurt. What a disappointment! We aren't very large individuals: asian couple together weighing about 250. We keep getting angry at ourselves and trying to figure out how to salvage our couch..but how would you know the foam cushion would deflate in 2 years. It was perfectly fine when we first bought it.

The door store has a similar bed w/ a hydrolic system & leather...i have it and it's been great. I have recommended it to many and have had a real positive experience so far (going on a year this august)...and it costs the same-about 1000. Problem w/ EQ3 is that it takes so long to deliver in the states since it's imported from Canada (i waited for a piece for 3 months and it never came! p.s. don't go to the EQ3 modern living store in Howell, NJ - horrible place!)

IKEA has a similar storage bed that's really cheap and fairly well-made (for IKEA, anyhow).

I would really discourage anyone considering to buy anything at EQ3. Take it from me, I spent a very significant amount of money at this store only to find out that their furniture is completely worthless. I bought a table which looked used. EQ3. It had scratches and paint over the scratches. When I called the store, they blamed it on the delivery guys. When the delivery guys came to pick it up, they told me that they felt sorry for all EQ3's customers who were being scammed by this company.
Customer service is another horrendous issue. I waited 5 months for a couch, bed, night tables which I NEVER got. So I asked for my money back. I haven't gotten any of my money back yet because the store has been avoiding my calls. I even presented myself in person only to be told that the manager was on her day off. Don't even bother with head office, they don't even respond to your calls or emails which is why you'll notice that there is no customer service number on their website. All this to say that whatever you do, don't shop at this store. You'll never see your money again. Fortunately, I have been told that there is quite a number misfortunate victim customers of this worthless company. A lawsuit has been filed so it'll be a matter of time until we get our money back and hopefully this company will finally learn its lesson.

hey dina
I completely agree with you. I live in Montreal, Canada and experienced the same nightmare. The company recently opened up a new store in a suburban area and I have gotten no customer service from the staff.
I returned about $1000 worth of furniture because there were scratches on the table and chairs that I bought. I suspect the furniture to be refurbished because I also noticed paint over some of the scratches. Anyway, I don't know what's wrong with this company but there is definitely something fishy about them, almost like a scam. They put up signs that say "Closed for 2 days" or "Store will open only at 11:00".
For anyone out there, don't shop at this store...it's creepy.

Our EQ3 nightmare started in January 2009.
It's April - after many calls and excuses - the winter has gone and we are still sofa-less.
We just got a new call – production still hasn’t started. Every fabric is on back order. Indefinitely.
They offered to upgrade to a better fabric - also not currently available.
I chose my fabric because I loved the colour, not because I didn't want to pay an extra $50! Bloody fools.
We want to cancel the order and get a refund. It’s like being trapped in the Circumlocution Office in a Dickens novel – round and round we go, speaking to the entire bloody company. Nincompoops!
It seems to be their history: orders never completed; items never delivered; furniture lost or defective.
Never EVER shop at EQ3 (Palliser Furniture)!

The bed itself looks cheap in the store. So I purchases the storage mechanism itself, so that I can built a similar bed with real wood. This way is alot cheaper and you end up with a bed you design and made your self.
