Flou beds: The Culture of Sleep

flou beds asug.jpgFlou beds are clever, and the company offers up the kind of form/function balance that we just love. We are not fans of under-the-bed storage bins, which we find flimsy, noticeable and just a plain ol' drag. Flou has a different approach.

nathalie bed open.jpgThe first bed made by the company,The Nathalie'' was designed by Vico Magistrettii in the 70's, and still fits the bill for clean, elegant and practical- the entire bed opens for hide-away storage. This way you still get the look of sparse clean living, with plenty of room to hide your secrets.

mobydikbed.jpgOn a frustrating note, heres one more reminder of how we like to super-size things here in the States - many of the Flou beds, like the cool Moby Dick only come in a double, which seems sort of useless especially when the Cal King has become the norm.

Storing anything other than bedding under a bed is bad feng shui. But since stacks of books are also bad, I guess I'm doomed...

I'm interested in the flou bed pictured above in king size black leather with bookcase and lift-up storage.
