The Wave Chaise

03_07wavebed2.jpg We could see the Extreme Makeover Home team using this bed in one of their themed teen rooms. Touted as the teenager's ultimate bed it has a built in television, room for a desk, cd's and books designed by Roberta Rammê from Brazil. from the designer, "Imagine a furniture to wear...

03_07wavebed.jpg then dress it with an innovator design, intense colors, ergonomics and technology appeal. Like in fashion, the point is to unify beauty, comfort, and functionality. Whether your desire is to watch TV or DVD, listen to your favorite CD, read, talk on the phone, or even study, take a nap or browse the internet, you got it close, in a multifunctional chaise-longue. This concept is inspired by the values and personality of a today's teenager and the standards generated by a global hi-tech culture of facilities, where the access to technology is cheap and easy."

Ugh.
Here's right about where they went wrong:

Looks cool, but there's no way it can be used as a bed. It's more like a wired chaise lounge.

I don't particularly care for it, but I showed it to my 14 year old daughter - and she insists she MUST have one. She completely went nuts over it!

I like the idea better than the end result.

I'm with mel's dinner. But I do like the idea of a desk built into a high footboard--would work well for a studio or a small one-bedroom.

It's a great idea, and could be used for a bed, I suppose, but for a teenager? Teenagers grow like mad... This bed leaves no room to do so.
