Banks are still failing left and right, wages are dropping and layoffs are an ugly monster that has reared its head in many households (our own included). One wonders if the old timey practice of saving money under the mattress is the best bet. Designers Steve Cullen and Peter Trueblood inject a bit of levity into these uncertain times with their wallet+mattress design...
The Mattress Wallet allows anyone to stow away their hard earned cash where it's safe: under your own moneymaker. The wallet is made with the same materials as a real mattress, with up to 5mm of padding on each side, and slots for all those credit cards you should be putting on hiatus. One wonders if one could use this as a makeshift pillow if hard times become even harder.
