Ever since walking into NYCs flagship Madison Avenue store oh, those many years ago, we have been struck by the exclusive, luxurious world of Ralph Lauren Home.
These days, Mr. Lauren is showing three versions of elite lifestyle: Black Mountain, a ski chalet theme consisting of sleek, ebonized furniture with bold splashes of color, like red lacquer.
Rue Madame mixes 18th century, Art Deco and Louis XIV into a super- girly hangout. And then there is Modern Duke, a mix of Neo Classical and classic Englishsort of the Ralph Lauren staple.
The furnishings are truly beautiful, but will cost you an arm and a leg. Never the less, the stores are always a treat to walk through, because everywhere you look, there is eye candy to be seen.

I always feel a bit like a sucker when I am wooed into the "world of Ralph Lauren", but, damn, they are good at what they do... creating these lifestyle portraits with every single detail designed (and, of course, for sale).
That whole Black Mountain thing is just too, too cool and gorgeous. Can't wait to get to the flagship to drool in person.
But tastefully, of course. :)
