Grace was able to see the potential of the carriage seat and repurposed the find as a bench in her homes entryway. After removing the fabric, Grace sanded and stained the seat and restored it to its original beauty. We love the delicate lines of the piece and think it adds a wonderful vibe to the space.

Beautiful. A perfect dark accent in the pale room. So glad she freed it from that terrible upholstery job!

Very beautiful! Love how the iron is bent like a Thonet bentwood chair- any idea if it was made around the same time- 1890's or-? Great example of form following function!

I was also terrified that the 'before' was the 'after'. Why doesn't AT label these things more often?

Phew! I initially thought the striped fabric version was the after too.
But the real after is FAB-u-lous. Great job - very elegant, unique, and interesting!
