There's nothing like the human touch. Continuing our report on CA Boom 4, we bring you the exquisite hand craftsmanship of 407 furniture. Established for nearly a decade, and run by Leslie Shapiro, 407 Furniture has been quietly making its name as the place to go for made to order modern furniture. All of their pieces are handmade and hand finished in Los Angeles, custom tailored to suit your needs. You can tell from the pieces that quality and craftsmanship is the top priority.

If you haven't been able to find that perfect piece for your home, and are considering having something custom built, it might be worth a look at their Fairfax showroom. 407's gallery features collections of solid wood furniture that are timelessly modern and minimal. They have a perfect blend of Danish, Japanese, and American sensibilities. Find out more info at their website.

I love this store. And I love Lesley. 407 makes beautifully understated pieces that are built to last. If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to go into the showroom and see the collection in person. PS, she's also got a small but nicely-curated collection of paintings for sale.

Leslie has an innate, God given talent. She is a true artist in every sense of the word and this store has been her passion for many years.
As one can see, the furniture is gorgeous. Not only well executed, the furniture is designed and then crafted to suit Leslie's very high expectations. Leslie is a perfectionist in her design work, never willing to settle for anything less than the best in her creations.
Subtle yet striking is the genius behind her work and one should most definately visit the showroom to experience it for one'self.
One of the hardest working people I have ever met, when one takes home a piece of Leslie's furniture, one is taking home a piece that has its own history, a feeling of warmth coupled with a lot of love that has been put into it's making.
