070808_macabre.jpgWe're totally intrigued by this store we read about on LAist: Cipher Gallery on Fairfax. A gallery and home decor store filled with "framed insects, vintage biology charts, and antique funeral wreaths, alongside exotic statuary, idiosyncratic accessories, and glass human skulls".

"Owners Stacey Coleman and Lauren Raquel have created at aesthetic that evokes the Victorian fascination with the macabre." We love unusual accessories and things that make guests say huh? Our grandmother has more scorpions in glass than is really necessary and we love those old biology charts.

If you're looking for more places with a Victorian aesthetic or just looking for the unusual, check out the Museum of Jurassic Technology and the Velaslavasay Panorama. For more products like these you can also stop by Empiric in Hollywood or Culver City.

Read Laists full review right here. Has anyone check this place out?
