For some strange, reason, there are a billion streets and stores in Los Angeles called Orange. And God forbid an "Orange" store be on an "Orange" street. The funny thing is that the stores are all worth it. There is Sunset Orange in Silverlake and Orange22 downtown.
For us though, the best one is Orange on Beverly Blvd. This is one of those inspirational stores with gorgeous furniture at car-sticker prices. Reclaimed and refinished mid-century is the norm. And while it seems like that's the norm everywhere in LA... Orange does it really well.
We loved the lines of these Danish dining chairs that the store recovered in fancy brown wool cable-knit ($800.00 a piece.)
We also liked all of the light fixtures, and there are some great, high quality drafting and work tables, too. Be inspired. Be impressed. Check your bank account and your Thomas guide.

don't forget the City of Orange...there's a whole antique community out there and apparently one guy who does midcentury well. haven't seen it for myself
This store is egregiously overpriced - the furniture offered is typical midcentury modern - nothing exceptional - just the same ole same ole - if you want generica here it is at twice the price - but I suppose there is some snob appeal in having ones home look exactly like every other hip hotel but simply being more expensive.
