The July 2008 Issue of House Beautiful is their "Small Space" Issue, a topic obviously dear to us at AT. Under the category of "Small and Natural" they featured the Los Angeles bungalow of designer Moises Esquenazi. His home is a gorgeous mix of lush colors, exotic accessories, and an overall comfortable, warm, and bright disposition. (More ...)

Moises says "Less space just makes you be more choosey. It's like getting dressed- it's easier when you have fewer options. Things become clutter when they're not organized and displayed properly. Also, as William Morris said, 'Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.' This is a good way to start eliminating things..."

Love the blue on the wall of the first bedroom. Also the photo of the blue dresser with pink peonies is really striking. Nice palette!

Lovely space and beautiful colors .. but what is it with the faux deer heads, already? (And they're not even "useful" or "beautiful," for gosh sakes ... just ubiquitous!)

Yes, half a deer's body coming thru your bedroom wall, or any wall, is just NOT attractive or useful. Agree with you Jane!

The elephant is a sculpture of a live animal. The deer head is an imitation of a stuffed and mounted hunting trophy. And those deer heads have been showing up way too much for me.

I love the use of color in these rooms.

That was my first thought, too, as soon as I saw the deer head... Why am I starting to see so many of these lately?

Paint colour of the infamous "deer head" room is BM's Newburg Green.

What a great home and beautiful outdoor room. It really has a warm and retreat like feel which is perfect considering how close it is to Sunset Blvd.

Can anyone help me out with the wall colour in the guest bedroom (with the deer head). On the house beautiful site i thought they referenced it as BM's Newburg Green...but when I looked at that colour it looks nothing like that....(although I know lighting can make a huge difference...)
