This pink and green bedroom is another highlight in the March 2008 House Beautiful. The issue features several examples of which colors "work with what." This particular room is part of the "Green works with other greens" piece, in a home designed by Jamie Drake. While the colors are very pretty...

... what really caught our eye was the really fun wall treatment! The design feels like a fresher version of the popular "trellis" patterns out recently. Upon reading the credits, it actually is a custom hand-blocked patterned wallpaper commisioned by Drake by New York's Alpha Workshops. (ATNY mentioned them here, and we mentioned their "Oh so faux" wallpaper here.) Taking a closer look at it, we're wondering if you couldn't DIY this look with some (well... ok, probably a whole lot) of tape and mask out the geometrical design? Anyone have any ideas?...

That would be a lot of masking! I'd try carving a pattern out of a Speedy-Cut block and just stamping it on, first, using the "corners" that the horizontal and vertical lines make as the centers of my block. If I were more handy, I'd carve the pattern out of wood. If I were a glutton for punishment--linoleum. ;)

Coincidentally, I'd just gotten to that house in the magazine, which I'm reading during downtime here at work. It's my favorite so far--so comfortable.
I've been on AT so much that I keep feeling like I need a comment window and submit button as I read through the magazine.
