We love how the Los Angeles Times has stepped up their home and garden coverage as well as revised their Sunday magazine section. This Sunday's magazine included a spread on the restored John Lautner house up on Mulholland Drive. Film buffs may recognize it from Lethal Weapon II; architecture buffs may know it simply as The Garcia House...
Local architecture firm Marmol Radziner did an amazing job. It wouldn't take much to convince us to live here even without the interior stylings of decorator Darren Brown. It's another example of Lautner's breathtaking work. To see more of Lautner's work, check out the exhibit at the Hammer Museum in Westwood which closes October 12.

On on a random note, I'm pretty sure Vincent Gallo used to live there.

I saw this house on a tour with the LA Conservatory very hot and groovy..but the interiors were not the same as these photos not as sleek what I saw was more authentic of the time. There are many good Lautners in LA.
