Blogging...OC Register 10.20.07- Susan Secoy's Ice House

"Cold play." Last Sunday's OC Register featured the amazing transformation of an old historic Ice House building right here in the city of Orange, CA. The building was originally in such bad shape, it was sold for land value only. Architect Susan Secoy snatched it up four years ago and transformed it into a gorgeous space that has architect offices, artist studios and a loft living space.

We're loving all the exposed wood and reclaimed wood she used on the walls, floor, and ceiling. It helps warm things up a bit, as opposed to to the traditional concrete that you'd expect in an industrial renovation. We also love the deck she created on the roof. Check out the rest of the story here. And this weekend, you can actually get a chance to see it in person, as it will be a part of the Old Towne Historic Home tour this weekend. More info on that here. Images by Mirovandmcaleer.com for OC Register

Great article...I wish I saw this last spring. I have the exact same type of ceiling in my loft.

maybe it's even a little generic...industrial, black leather etc.

But I still love the unholy hell out of it. My dream house.
