Stitching Stand-off! Not only are we trying to buy handmade for the holidays but we're attempting to handmake a couple of things ourselves. We busted out the sewing machine this weekend and got started realizing quickly that we're gonna need some help. But we're torn: Lotta or Amy? I have the lotta book and it's wonderful, easy to understand and diagrams to help, I've made almost everything in the book with great results.

Lotta's Simple Sewing should be compared to Amy's In Stiches. They are pretty much the exact same thing. I bought Amy's book because there were a few things I liked better.

I like the Lotta one and you can pick it up cheaper at amazon. It's only about $16 there
