Live Interior 3D

We've posted a few room layout options before, but they've been limited to two dimensional floor plans. But now there is one more choice available, with an extra dimension added to it's feature: Live Interior 3D is a Macintosh application that extrudes your 2D blueprints into fairly detailed three dimensional models, allowing you to better experience your floor plans, without the hassle of moving furnishing backs and forth, painting the walls, or doing much besides a few mouse clicks.

The application includes 1000+ 3D objects, including brand name furniture and building elements, and there's an online database of additional 3D objects via Google 3D Warehouse to import and furnish your dream home. There's a helpful option to visualize your space with different wall paints and lighting conditions, a great tool for colour experimentation. Download the demo here. [via TUAW]

I tried downloading it this weekend. The demo crashes, so I don't know that I would spend the $$ to actually run the program, which is a bummer, because I really want to!

I would feel a teensy bit of concern using my credit card with a Ukrainian company - security.

BeLight is a developer that is endorsed on Apple's own site, sells via retailers like Amazon, Fry's, and Microcenter, and their online transactions are handled by SWREG, of Eden Prairie, MN, USA. SWREG (one of the oldest and biggest online transaction companies). Perhaps you can inquire about a local retailer who carries Live Interior 3D to circumvent your worries.
