We admit we were impressed not only by the results and layout options of MyDeco's Plan My Room, but also with the selection of homewares and furnishings from The Conran Shop, Heal's, Graham & Green and Oka. Yeah, we know...it's integrated marketing, but it's all in good fun since most of the wares are from UK retailers, so this is more about having fun playing around with floor choices, wall covering, paint colours and overall layout. And if you wanted to get specific to your own room, you can upload a photo of your space and customize it using the same tools, including furnishings. Think of it like the Sims, but you can really buy it if you wanted. Check out their gallery of top designs for inspirations to get started.

Neat! This could eat up some Thursday afternoon work time....

I like my much-more-difficult-lo-tech version:

;-)
Seriously, though ... this is a fun too, and I don't even mind the integrated marketing, but something bugs me about the "Buy the Look" button.... your rooms should be curated and collected not purchased entirely at the click of the mouse.

I am too distracted by that giant woman on the wall in the top photo - she looks like those paintings that morph into ghosts on the Haunted Mansion ride!

Um, that would be kinda cool, too ;-)

Totally! If I ever find myself living in a Victorian manor, I will definitely decorate it accordingly. ;)
