Nomadic Furniture

How about this for a small space living inspiration? This is a scan from Nomadic Furniture, published in 1973, an instructional book filled with hand drawn illustrated DIY plans for furniture that "folds, inflates, knocks down, stacks, or is disposable and can be recycled". I like it so much, I'm ordering a copy myself!

Relaxation and Work cube project scans under the cut.

My dad had a copy of Nomadic Furniture when I was a kid. Though he never quite lived up to the book's principles, it got him thinking about modular furniture, fully utilizing the height of a room and multi-purpose pieces.

I remember looking at the drawings, and falling in love with the idea of cardboard furniture. I also seem to remember a sequel, but my memories are faint.

There is indeed a sequel. I liked the first one so much I bought the sequel secondhand when a copy finally showed up on Ebay.
